Today we will be taking a look at How To Install Custom Rom On The ALCATEL OT908. This is the first ICE CREAM SANDWICH ROM for ALCATEL OT908 based on 2.2.2 FroYo.
[ REQUIREMENTS ]
-this custom ROM will work for any Alcatel OT-908 phone or branded one Cosmote/Globul/T-Mobile/Orange Move
-for OT-908 F/S/A I prepared a different version -difference in key mapping regarding sensor buttons
-also must have CWM recovery installed
if neither phone is rooted nor you have CWM recovery then read below, otherwise move along.
1.install sdk for Android
2.copy recovery.img to location where you stored sdk tools something like this android-sdk\platform-tools\
3.enter fastboot mode (phone is connected to PC )
to enter fastboot mode press VolDOWN+Menu at phone startup for 10s phone display is blank
4.enter this from line commander (bash/cmd.exe)
fastboot devices -to start service or test connection to PC
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img -to flash required CWM recovery to phone
to enter CWM recovery press VolUP+Menu for 10s at phone start

- in Quadrant Standard 2.0 got +10 % points
Install in this order from CWM recovery
1.update_OT908sfa_signed.zip
2.dtapps2sd-2.7.5.3-beta04-signed.zip
next reboot
BUT DO NOT do anything! firstly
1. go menu/apps/ and open busybox- in fact there is already in /system/xbin/ a version but this program will update to the latest ver of busybox- about 200 unix tools to add to your phone the power of a PC-toghether with etc/init.d feature added
so Install Busybox- will ask for root permision..
2.go to menu/apps/ and open Terminal Emulator then enter ‘su’
and then ‘a2sd cachepart’… phone will reboot
3.open root explorer and delete from /data/app the busybox apk because this resides now in /system/xbin – see there
4. this is to get ~4-5 MB free space more
