Early Tuesday Samsung released a list of devices that have been or will be updated to Android 4.0(ICS). The list confirms some smartphones and tablets that Samsung has already said will get the upgrade, and continues to leave out the Galaxy S smartphone and the earliest Galaxy Tab, a 7-in. tablet.

They also stated in the release that they are in close communication with both Google and our carrier partners to upgrade devices to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

This list may be altered as updates are confirmed or released.

Android’s chief architect, Andy Rubin, took to Twitter over the weekend to share the news that Google’s mobile platform is being activated on 900,000 devices each and every day. Google doesn’t provide a breakdown of those activations, so that massive number includes smartphones, tablets, Kindles, and other devices running Android.

It would appear that Google is on the cusp of reaching one million devices activated each day. But can it? Android’s adoption rate has slowed in recent months. Let’s take a look at the numbers.

For those who want an android tablet, and couldn’t justify the price v.s the spec  well this might float your boat. My only major concern about this device is how small and unknown this company is, and  since this is their only device I could find, I wonder how many and what types  of mistakes did they make.

For all those people who have acquired the unlocked international (non-carrier branded) HTC One S, we have good news, today news broke that the International HTC One S gets first software update – v1.78. The V1.78 update is based on the 4.0.3 version of the android OS and is about 60MB. While there was not much visible changes, you may notice the removal of the three-dot menu software menu button in certain Google apps. Another fix we are looking forward to seeing in this latest OTA includes a fix for the Wifi disconnection bug that’s been plaguing some One S owners since day one, this is suspected but not confirmed as of now.

Today’s update will only be available for the unlocked international (non-carrier branded) HTC One S, therefore, if you have bought yours from your local carrier, you may be waiting a while longer before your update to be released.

Finally, if you are on of the unlocked international (non-carrier branded) HTC One S, you might want to check for the update. To check for the update just go to Settings > About phone > Software updates to grab the latest OTA. After you have updated and explored you device please leave a comment bellow telling us what u have noticed as far as change goes.

Back in march we had the first taste of ICS on the HTC Rezound, and today we have more.  In the new build a lot of the old bugs has been swashed. However, this does not seem like something Verizon Wireless  will be releasing to the public, but it should be good enough to keep you busy till the do.

If  you are looking To Root plus CWM and the FC17 Update on Samsung Conquer 4G, you’re in the right place. Bellow are the files and instructions on how to root plus CWM and the FC17 update on Samsung Conquer 4G . We will be going step by step, Here are all the file you will need to complete the process Please note that we are not taking responsible for any kind of damage that caused by this tutorial, so do this at your own risk.

Instructions

1) Enter Download mode

•  make sure the phone is turned off and plugged into the wall charging. You should also make sure the phone has a good charge on it.
• Then turn the phone on by pressing the volume down and camera button and holding them while pressing the power button for a few seconds.

2)Plug your phone into your computer ando pen up the Odin program. Next press the OPS button and select the SPH-D600_FC17_CWM.ops file. Then press the PDA button and select the SPH-D600_FC17_CWM.tar.md5 file. Now press the Start button, the images should install and the phone reboot. Congrats, your phone now has a stock FC17 image with a CWM Recovery.

3) Next, copy the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip and su-bin-3.0.3.2-efghi-signed.zip files to the root of your SD Card after booting up.

4) Once the phone boots up, go into settings, select Applications, then Development, then turn on USB debugging. Now you can restart the phone into recovery mode with adb. If you don’t want to use adb, you can plug the phone into the wall and turn it on while holding the volume down and power button. Either way is fine, as long as you now get the phone into recovery mode.

5) The phone should now go into CWM recovery. Go to install zip from sdcard and select the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zipyou put on the sdcard and install that. Next select the su-bin-3.0.3.2-efghi-signed.zip  file from your sdcard and install that.

Congratulations, you now have a rooted phone with the FC17 update. If you had CWM installed before, you can now do an advanced back-up, and just restore the data from your most recent backup and get all your data back.

Early today Sony Japan released the update plans for the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P. Some of the updates include the ability to access the camera app, take panoramic picture and edit an image from the gallery directly from the lock screen. The picture and video has also been improved. If you happen to  those with one of Sony’s Blu-ray recorders, The update also include an app called Recopla, that acts as a remote and allows for streaming of recorded content over WiFi.

Check the Software Version on your Mobile Device

Yesterday Facebook released an update for its native Android mobile app. The change log suggested that they have made improvements in some areas and added some new features.

Official Change Log:

• Improved performance and various bug fixes
• More messaging features like creating group messages and adding friends to existing group conversations
• Shortcuts to share photos and messages right from your home screen

I am still not sure if it’s even worth the time to update this app, Facebook has repeatedly failed to deliver any major results for its performance issue (IMO). However if you think I’m wrong on this please feel free to tell me in the comments, twitter, Facebook, Google +, or just a good old email. The yet-to-be-released LG Optimus 3D Max, successor to the very first 3D smartphone, the LG Optimus 3D, is now one step closer to release, gaining Global Certification Forum (GCF) approval. The Max, codenamed the P720, is approved for quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies, EDGE class 12, and HSDPA category 14. It will most likely not have 4G LTE.

This device will sport a dual-core 1.2 GHz TI OMAP procesor, 1GB of RAM, and run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread out of the box (promised ICS update to come). The Max will also feature greatly improved 3D experience.

No official dates for release, but judging by when they got GCF approval, the device could be launching before the end of Q2. That’s anywhere between April and June, and that’s most likely starting with Asia.

So who’s looking forward to the Max?
